Research grant administration training series begins

PULLMAN – A training series designed for employees managing research projects and sponsored programs will be presented by Human Resource Services beginning Friday, Sept. 23.
 
The “Research Administration Training Series” focuses on the administrative and management activities that contribute to successful research projects.
The first session, titled “Life Cycle of a Sponsored Project,” features an overview of WSU’s grant process. It follows an award from submission to close-out, highlighting the roles and responsibilities of the principal investigator, the department administrator, the Office of Grant and Research Development and Sponsored Program Services.
 
Other courses in this series include topics on:
• regulation compliance
• administration costs and budgeting
• understanding contracts
• proposal submission processes
Each workshop will be available statewide via AMS Videoconferencing Services.
