Led by a bagpiper, mace bearer, and honor guards, WSU faculty and administrators will process into Beasley Auditorium to signal the start of the 2011 University Convocation, set for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 in Beasley Coliseum.
Convocation is a tradition, welcoming new students, their families, and new faculty to WSU.
Special guest speaker at this year’s ceremony is Professor and Entomologist Rich Zack, recipient of the 2011 Sahlin Faculty Excellence Award for Instruction.
