Cougar logo and messaging added to Beasley Coliseum roof

PULLMAN, Wash. – Workers from Washington State University Facilities Operations are giving the roof of Beasley Coliseum a bit of a makeover this summer.

Funded from WSU Athletics and Beasley Coliseum, the world-famous Cougar head logo, along with “Go Cougs”, are being painted on the roof of the basketball and performing arts facility.

More than 200 gallons of paint and primer are required for the job, and with roof temperatures reaching 123 degrees Fahrenheit, its hard work.

Mike Sturko, director of Construction Services for Facilities Operations, said the basic layout was drawn on paper, and then transferred to a grid system on the roof.

The painting on Beasley is part of an on-going rebranding of WSU Athletic facilities across the WSU Pullman campus. Work should be wrapped up before students return to Pullman for classes.
