Information Services will be upgrading the Identity Management System (Forefront Identity Manager) beginning on Aug. 2 and concluding Aug. 5.

The upgrade will require an Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) or Single Sign On (SSO) outage on Wednesday, Aug. 3 between 12:01 – 6:00 a.m.

ADFS and Active Directory (AD) groups for student and employee authorizations as well as will be unavailable during that time. Individuals already logged into systems such as zzusis will not be affected. However, new logins during this time will not be available.

Specifically the Active Directory groups Employees* and Students* will be unavailable. For example, Students.Enrolled.Matriculated.Undergraduate or Employees.Active.CivilService. If you have resources that use this type of authorization for printers or other AD attached resources, those authorizations and resources will not be available at that time.
