Animal shelter seeks volunteers for landscaping project

PULLMAN, Wash. – Staff, faculty, students and other community members are invited to volunteer on a landscaping service project 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 9, at Animal Haven (Whitman County Humane Society).
 
WSU students are asked to register through the Center for Civic Engagement on SLPro; a link can be found at http://cce.wsu.edu/students.
 
The Palouse Conservation District is hosting the event. The goal is to prepare the area for a fall native and perennial grass seeding to prevent future weed invasion. Volunteers will be mowing, weed-whacking, raking and hand-pulling weeds.
