Abstracts Due Friday for Joint Conference on Health

A quick reminder – abstracts for our state’s public health conference are due this Friday! We hope you or your colleagues will submit – please share.

Developments for this year’s conference, “Building Community Together-Creating Opportunities for Better Health” include plenary speakers Jeff Selberg, COO of Institute for Healthcare Improvement and Mary Selecky, Secretary of Health, to lead a panel on health care reform and the budget. A Legislative Plenary Panel is in the works too. Learn more about objectives and cross disciplinary tracks online. You can submit an oral or poster abstract before May 27.

The conference draws between 400-500 professionals, with wide ranging disciplinary and professional backgrounds, including epidemiologists, environmental health specialists, public health nurses, maternal child health professionals, community health educators and health promotion experts. Among their sectors are local and state governments, community health clinics, non-profit community organizations, for-profit health care providers and academia. Your work matters, to them and their communities.

Please submit an abstract for review soon! Questions? Contact Laura Nalbandian, conference@wspha.org or go to www.wspha.org/JCH2011.
