Team recruiting diabetes patients for clinical trials

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Clinical Trials Research Team at Washington State University Spokane is looking for patients with type 2 diabetes to participate in one of three long-term clinical studies.

Each of the trials involves the study of a medication and its effects on cardiovascular health.

All studies are under the direction of Spokane physician Carol H. Wysham and College of Pharmacy assistant professor Joshua J. Neumiller.

The benefits of participating in this research include frequent contact with health care professionals, guidance on nutrition and activity, and access to newly approved or investigational medication.

Participants would periodically report to the Health Sciences Building on the WSU Spokane campus, which has convenient parking for trial participants. Participants may be compensated for time and travel.

If interested, please contact Debra Weeks or Bonnie Murray toll-free at 1-855-228-0832 or at 509-358-7733. More information about the clinical trials team and the studies is available at http://www.pharmacy.wsu.edu/clinicaltrials.
