April 23 fun run benefits student leader award

 
 
VANCOUVER, Wash. – The second annual Cougar Community Run to benefit the Student Leadership Award will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Washington State University Vancouver.
 
Registration is $15 for students, $20 for alumni and $25 for non-students. Kids 12 and younger run for free. Register at www.vancouver.wsu.edu/cc5k.
 
Along with the race chips, each participant will receive a t-shirt and gift bag. Finish line photos will be taken. WSU’s mascot, Butch T Cougar, will congratulate participants as they cross the finish line and make himself available for photos.
 
An awards ceremony including healthy snacks and prizes will immediately follow the race.
 
Nick Allard, KGW TV morning meteorologist and WSU alumni (’03), will emcee.
