The first Cougar Pride Walk before Saturday’s football game was a hit, but a permanent name is needed for this new game day tradition.
WSU Athletics is seeking ideas through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at athletics.marketing@wsu.edu. Please use “Name the Team Walk” as the subject line in e-mails.
A committee of athletic department staff will choose a name, which will be announced at wsucougars.com and the official WSU Athletics Facebook and Twitter pages on Friday, Sept. 24. The winner of the naming contest will receive a football autographed by the 2010 Cougar football team. For more information, please call 335-0214.
For the home game against USC, which begins at noon on Saturday, Sept. 25, the team walk will begin at 9:45 a.m. Fans, family and friends are invited to form a tunnel for the team to walk through from the Cougar Pride statue to Hollingbery fieldhouse. The statue is located next to the ticket office on Stadium Way.
