1960s Counterculture and WSU – Presentation tomorrow!

The Foley Institute’s Coffee & Politics Series continues with Paul Brians, who is going to talk about:

“1960s Counterculture and WSU”

Paul Brians came to WSU as an Assistant Professor of English in 1968 and at that time became involved in the movement against the Vietnam War.

Working with Students for a Democratic Society, and other student activist groups, he was a witness to a period in WSU’s history that is little known today, when communes, demonstrations, and underground publications played central roles in student lives. Professor Brians will show what was going on at WSU during the peak of student activism and place it in the wider context of the counterculture movements that characterize what we now call “The Sixties.”

Join us for pizza, pop, and a depiction of 1960s counterculture.

RSVP to relgar@wsu.edu to ensure enough refreshments.
