Oct. 4: Faculty concert showcases bass and cello

Boden-R-2013-80PULLMAN, Wash. – Bass and cello music will resound in a faculty recital by Ruth Boden, assistant professor of bass and cello in the Washington State University School of Music, at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in Bryan Hall. Boden will be joined by Jeffrey Savage on piano and Miranda Wilson on cello.

The concert is part of the WSU Faculty Artist Series; proceeds support the school’s scholarship fund.

Music will include the “Duetto” for cello and double bass by Rossini and the Prokofiev “Sonata for cello and piano, Op. 119 in C Major,” as well as “Elegy No. 1 in D major” by Bottesini and Faure’s “Elegy, Op. 24.”

Tickets will be available in the lobby 30 minutes before the performance; they are free for WSU students with ID, $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors 60 and older and non-WSU students.
