WSU creamery fundraises for education

PULLMAN – The WSU creamery is joining a national fundraising effort to create awareness about the education crisis in the lower socioeconomic levels in the U.S.


Jumpstart, a nonprofit organization focused on intervening early in the lives of at-risk children, has created a campaign to help raise public awareness about the early education gap that exists between income levels. The goal of the organization is to raise money to fund early education programs for underserved children.

Native American author tells stories of the old days

VANCOUVER –  “Nearly seventy-five years of my lifetime have come and gone since hearing of the sparse historical events from the old-timers,” said American Indian elder George Aguilar. “It’s my turn now.” Aguilar will speak about stories in his book, “When the River Ran Wild!” at Washington State University Vancouver, 7 to 8:30 p.m., April 24 in the Administration Building, room 129.
