Following is a copy of President V.Lane Rawlins “Quarterly Update.”Welcome to the new academic year, and a sincere thanks to faculty and staff who helped our students successfully start this new year. Working together, you are making reality of our goal to offer our students the best undergraduate experience in a research university. Foundation names new president

Richard L. Frisch, interim president of the University of Hawaii Foundation, has been named the new president of the Washington State University Foundation and vice president of development, effective June 1.“Richard Frisch clearly exceeds our expectations for this position,” said Barbara Couture, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and chair of the search committee. “He brings a wealth of development and leadership experience at major research universities and private foundations to his new role at WSU.
