WSU annual parking permit renewal to be offered online

PULLMAN – Washington State University Parking and Transportation Services will be offering annual campus parking permit renewals for 2007/2008 on the Web. Eligible annual permit holders will be contacted via a MyWSU portal notice and a postcard mailing that will direct them to the WSU Parking and Transportation Web site for the renewal, which is expected to start on March 28. PULLMAN – People coming to campus this Saturday to attend the Washington State University football game and/or the Bill Cosby concert are encouraged to plan ahead to avoid possible traffic and parking problems.The kickoff of the football game against the University of Arizona is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Martin Stadium. Now that Wilson Road leading to the Compton Union Building – a traditional campus transportation hub – has been closed by CUB construction, Washington State University and police and parking officials are suggesting alternatives for people looking to drop off friends and family members.WSU Police Chief Steve Hansen said, “The key thing to keep in mind is safety. Parking and Transportation Services at WSU Pullman will launch a webpage later this month allowing faculty, staff and students to renew their 2006-07 campus parking permits online. Parking task force to consider Spokane Street changes

The Washington State University Parking and Transportation Task Force is inviting comments on a plan to improve pedestrian safety and transit access on the Pullman campus that would eliminate some parking spaces on Spokane Street between College Avenue and Campus Street.As more pedestrians use the central campus area, increased north/south vehicle traffic is using Spokane Street. Health and Wellness Services parking adds gated entrance

Patients and pharmacy patrons of the Washington State University Health and Wellness Services will notice a new entrance to its parking lot.A new gate system has been installed to ensure ample parking for those who utilize the health services at the former Pullman Memorial Hospital location.To use the new parking lot, drivers must approach the entrance gate, which will open automatically. Upon check in, patients will be given an exit token. Pharmacy patrons will receive a token at the pharmacy counter. WSU parking system moves to computerized system

PULLMAN – Washington State University Parking and Transportation Services converted to a new computerized parking management system on Aug. 1 and began annual parking permit sales.Called the Automatic Issuance/Management System, or AIMS, the new parking management system will feature a number of service improvements and allow for the use of automated hand-held devices by parking officers issuing parking warnings and tickets on campus. PULLMAN — Parking at Washington State University just became a little easier with reduced summer rates available at all campus garages.WSU Parking and Transportation Services is offering hourly garage rates for $1.25 per hour, reduced from $1.75 per hour, at the Samuel H. Smith Center for Undergraduate Education parking garage and the garage under Holland Library.
