Jazz festival features saxophonist David Hagelganz

PULLMAN – The WSU Jazz Festival is Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Kimbrough on the Pullman campus.

A highlight of the festival will be a gala concert from 12 to 1 p.m. featuring guest saxophonist David Hagelganz performing with the award- winning WSU Jazz Big Band directed by Greg Yasinitsky. Additionally, the faculty group Jazz Northwest will perform featuring Kathleen Hollingsworth, vocals and piano; Yasinitsky, saxophone; Frederick “David” Snider, bass; and David Jarvis, drums. The concert will be presented in Bryan Hall Theatre and will be free of charge.

Pullman The WSU Jazz Festival will be presented on the WSU campus Wednesday, Nov. 14. The festival will include performances by composer and performer David Glenn accompanied by WSU faculty and alumni. Faculty members will also present clinics and school groups will perform throughout the day. All events are free and open to the public.

 

The gala concert will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Bryan Hall Theatre.
