By Maegan Murray, WSU Tri-Cities RICHLAND, Wash. – A public luminaria lighting ceremony to honor the late President Elson S. Floyd and others affected by cancer will be hosted by students at Washington State University Tri-Cities 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, on the Rotary Stage on campus.
ROME, Ga. – Darlington School on Wednesday named a lakeside area where the national flag is displayed in memory of Elson S. Floyd, the Washington State University president who died in June. Floyd was the first black graduate, in 1974, of the private, college-preparatory day and boarding school in Rome.
SPOKANE, Wash. – This afternoon, the late Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd will be remembered during a ceremony at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman.
PULLMAN, Wash. – A universitywide celebration of the life and legacy of President Elson S. Floyd will be 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Beasley Coliseum. It will be live streamed and viewable at Martin Stadium, the CUB Auditorium and on the Web.
