Unique online power engineering program gets under way

Jayaram named a fellow of mechanical engineering society

PULLMAN, Wash. – Sankar (Jay) Jayaram, a professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, recently was named a 2013 fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for his expertise and contributions to virtual assembly simulations for engineering, 3-D technologies and CAD interoperability.

WSU students earn the most IEEE power scholarships

Energy workforce gaps addressed in post-recession study

CENTRALIA, Wash. – Electric utility employment in the Pacific Northwest exceeds 40,000 highly skilled workers and generates nearly $2.8 billion in annual payrolls, according to a new labor market study. On average, the region’s utility wages are 82 percent higher than the average for jobs across all industries.
