Dinner with a registered dietitian continues

PULLMAN – “Dinner with the Dining Services Registered Dietitian” will continue this spring at WSU. Registered Dietitian Annie Roe is open to all students, faculty and staff. This is a free service offered by Dining Services. No meal purchase is necessary.

Dinners will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will be at one of the three dining centers: Hillside Café (in Wilmer Davis Hall), Northside Café (in Regents Hall), and Southside Café (in Rotunda Hall).

Passport to a culinary adventure – A taste of northwest Native America

Pullman – During the week of November 10 – 14, WSU Dining Services will offer patrons a journey of culinary adventure and delight.  Dining Services will feature “A Taste of Northwest Native America” at each of the three primary dining facilities:  Hillside Café, Northside Café, and Southside Café.  Throughout the week, the following menu items will be available:

Dining Services’ Webfood available Thursday

PULLMAN  – Final testing of the new online food ordering program ended at the beginning of this week.  Starting Thursday, Webfood Fresh Express is available campus-wide at the address (


Through Webfood, Dining Services Customers select a meal or snack, pay for it online, and pick up their order at the time and location most convenient for them. 


Webfood customers realize significant savings by paying online with their Resident Dining Account (RDA) or Cougar CASH; or can pay online with Visa or MasterCard.

Dining services showcases local menu items

PULLMAN –  From Oct. 6 through Nov. 5 Dining Services will showcase Local and Sustainable Menu Items in collaboration with the WSU Museum of Anthropology’s “What’s for Dinner on the Palouse?” and  the Smithsonian Exhibit, “Key Ingredients.”


“Key Ingredients” is the newest exhibition from Museum on Main Street, a partnership of the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) and state humanities councils.  “Key Ingredients” is coming to Pullman through the efforts of the Humanities of Washington, the Museum of Anthropology, and the WSU Libraries.  Key Ingredients is on display at the Terrell Library Atrium … » More …

24th annual All-Campus Picnic at Mooberry Track

HEADLINE:  24th Annual All Campus Picnic next Friday 

Pullman – WSU Dining Services will host the 24th Annual All Campus Picnic on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at Mooberry Track Field. 
The picnic will start at 11:00am following University Convocation and will end at 1:30pm.  All Pullman Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to attend the picnic free of charge with a valid WSU ID card (Cougar Card).  For all others wishing to attend, tickets are 5 dollars ($4.64 + $0.36 tax) per person, and children 5 and under are admitted free of charge.

Southside Cafe opens March 16

Pullman – After a $10.2 million renovation project, the Southside Café will open on March 16. The Opening Meal will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 


This facility was remodled to better serve students, faculty, staff, and guests from the community.  It features exhibition style food preparation and service platforms as well as intimate, restaurant style seating arrangements. 


Other benefits of the remodel include food prepared “to-order,” fresher food, restaurant style products, greater variety, and extended hours of operation.

Whole wheat pizza part of sustainability

WSU Dining Services serves firefighters in Colfax

PULLMAN — As firefighters worked to put out the fire near Colfax this past week, WSU Dining Services crews fired up their grills.  The message to help get meals to the fire crews began with Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson, who was at the fire Thursday evening. The information was then relayed to Mark Janowski, emergency coordinator for Whitman County; to Chris Tapfer, WSU’s emergency management coordinator; and to Liz Khosravi, associate director of Dining Services, who, in turn, asked Eric Webb, the general manager for Dining Services, to organize his crews at Stephenson Dining.
