Student-designed software helps nonprofit gain efficiency

By Joseph Jensen, WSU Tri-Cities marketing & communications intern RICHLAND, Wash. – A nonprofit mediation service is spending more time educating and serving clients and less time on administration, thanks to software designed last summer by students in a Washington State University Tri-Cities computer science class.

New online course evaluation system launches

PULLMAN, Wash. – Students in about half of fall 2014 classes will use a new online course evaluation system at Washington State University. By spring 2016, all WSU classes will be phased in to using eXplorance Blue rather than paper forms.

Feb. 25-26: Ingredient course improves food products

July 11: Youth livestock focus is on quality assurance

By Kate Halstead, WSU Extension BREMERTON, Wash. – A day-long course for youth will help them raise livestock that meets the standards set forth in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s quality assurance program. The training will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds, 1200 Fairgrounds Rd., Bremerton, Wash.

Palouse Ridge hosting USGA amateur qualifier

PULLMAN – WSU’s Palouse Ridge Golf Club will host Washington state’s U.S. Golf Association’s 2010 Amateur Sectional Qualifying round on Aug. 3.   Seventy-two golfers from Washington State will be competing for three spots in the 110th U.S. Amateur Championship hosted by Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington, from Aug. 23-29.    Related: Tickets for the […]
