Governor reappoints Cowles, Stone to Board of Regents

Gov. Christine Gregoire has reappointed Washington State University regents Elizabeth Cowles of Spokane and Rafael Stone of Seattle to the board for additional five-year terms.Cowles currently serves as president of the Board of Regents; Stone was her predecessor as president. Both were appointed to the board in 2000. Their new terms expire Sept. 30, 2010.Cowles is chairman of Cowles Publishing Co., a diversified family owned media, forest products, insurance and real estate company headquartered in Spokane. WSU, UW Regents to Hold Joint Meeting Friday

The Washington State University Board of Regents will hold a joint meeting with the University of Washington Board of Regents Friday (Nov. 19). The joint meeting will be in addition to the regents’ regularly scheduled November meeting.The regular meeting will begin at 9 a.m. The agenda for the meeting is online at .
