Members of the WSU Board of Regents authorized three new degree programs as part of a slate of nearly two dozen action items approved during Friday’s meeting on the Spokane campus.
The university has items in state spending bills expected to be signed by Gov. Jay Inslee and in 12 federal funding bills that have been either signed or in progress.
The meeting will take place on Friday, Aug. 11, from the WSU System President’s Office at 255 E. Main Street, Suite 102 in Pullman. The public portion of the meeting will be streamed live on YouTube.
Isaac Marroquin, a master’s student at WSU Tri-Cities who served in several student leadership roles as an undergraduate, is joining the university’s Board of Regents as the next student regent.
The meeting — which includes an executive session — will take place inside the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center. The business portion of the retreat will be broadcast live on YouTube.
The Spokane campus is hosting meetings of the WSU Board of Regents this week. Members will participate in commencement-related events at Spokane and Pullman as well.
