“It’s great to see us rise in the ranking so much this year,” said Dave Cillay, WSU Global Campus chancellor. “WSU online degrees are highly sought-after by students throughout the Pacific Northwest and the world. And our consistently high rankings in U.S. News are a testament to the innovation and hard work of faculty, staff and students here at WSU Global Campus.”

“Our online bachelor programs are very popular among our military-affiliated populations because of their quality and flexibility,” said Penny Martinez, the veterans affairs coordinator for WSU Global Campus. “The fact that they can earn a WSU degree from anywhere in the world allows us to serve students who are on active duty, as well as veterans and those who are in the reserves and national guard. We get a lot of feedback on how great our online programs are for these student groups.”

WSU Global Campus offers 21 undergraduate and 13 graduate degrees in many disciplines, as well as numerous minors and certificates.

“Maintaining our top 20 ranking with U.S. News & World Report demonstrates our strong commitment toward providing an excellent online MBA program to students across the globe,” said Chip Hunter, Carson College dean. “The recognition of our online bachelor’s programs at 8th further validates our efforts to continually grow in the online space.”

In engineering, WSU was the only university in Washington state to rank among the top of U.S. News’ Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs.

“Our online engineering degree programs in engineering technology management and electrical power engineering provide an invaluable service to professionals who seek to advance their management and engineering skills to better meet industry needs,” said Mary Rezac, Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture dean. ” We’re proud of this acknowledgement of our efforts in making education accessible to professionals around the region, state, and elsewhere.”

To calculate rankings for online bachelor’s programs, U.S. News and World Report evaluated data collected from 384 schools in four categories: engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion. They also ranked 165 undergraduate business programs and 55 undergraduate psychology programs.
