Deadlines Feb. 20, March 10 for leadership awards

PULLMAN, Wash. – Nominations are open for community organizations, as well as Washington State University employees, students and groups, for the annual WSU President’s Award for Leadership.

Recipients demonstrate exceptional leadership and service to the university and the community or support leadership development and engagement of WSU students. A committee of faculty, staff and students will consider applicants within the framework of the Social Change Model of Leadership Development (http://cce.wsu.edu/about/social-change-model/).

Student nominations are due Feb. 20. Student applications and nominations for student groups, community organizations and faculty and staff are due March 10. Award recipients will be honored at the annual Leadership and Engagement Awards of Distinction (LEAD) ceremony April 18.

The LEAD event and President’s Award are presented by WSU Student Involvement, WSU Center for Civic Engagement, WSU Graduate and Professional Student Association and Associated Students of WSU.
