SPOKANE, Wash. – A two-hour educational and networking event for women faculty and administrators in higher education will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Washington State University Spokane, hosted by the American Council on Education Women’s Network of Washington.
“The primary purpose of the network is to provide opportunities for women in mid-level positions to hone their leadership skills,” said Chio Flores, ACE Women’s Network of Washington state coordinator and assistant dean of students at WSU Pullman. “Participants will receive practical training and insight on the skill sets needed to advance in higher education administration.”
WSU Spokane Chancellor Lisa Brown, Eastern Washington University President Mary Cullinan and Community Colleges of Spokane Chancellor Christine Johnson will present a panel discussion, followed by a question-answer period and reception.

Flores was assisted in planning the event by: Judy Zeiger, director of Student Affairs at WSU Spokane; Stacy Morgan Foster, vice president of Student Affairs at EWU; Amy McCoy, director of compliance at CCS; Judy Biggs Garbuio, vice president for student development at Gonzaga University; and Caroline Simon, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs at Whitworth University.
