SPOKANE, Wash. – A new joint degree program will allow Washington State University students to earn both doctor of pharmacy and master of business administration degrees in four years. New students may apply to the program starting this summer.
“This collaboration makes the business core curriculum available to our students and allows them to come out of school with the credentials – including business plan creation – to not only be outstanding pharmacists but also successful health system leaders, business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Linda Garrelts MacLean, an associate dean at the WSU College of Pharmacy.
Since the WSU MBA is an online program, students can complete their business courses synchronously with their pharmacy courses in as few as four years. Students will complete the doctor of pharmacy degree either on the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane or through the program extension on the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences campus in Yakima, Wash.
Students must apply separately and be admitted to each college.
