April 17, 18: Cougar Pride Day offers opportunities for service

coug-in-communityRICHLAND, Wash. – The public is invited to participate in two community service projects with Washington State University Tri-Cities students, employees and alumni on Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18.

As part of Cougar Pride Day, participants will spend April 17 beautifying the WSU Tri-Cities campus. On April 18, volunteers will work on a home preservation project with Habitat for Humanity in Pasco, Wash.

These activities are part of the Cougs in the Community program at WSU Tri-Cities where volunteers engage, network and have fun while sharing knowledge, skills and resources.

Cougar Pride Day shifts (must be at least 18 years old) are 7-9 a.m. and 10 a.m.-noon. Register here.

Habitat for Humanity shifts (must be at least 12 years old) are:
Prepping crew: 8 a.m.
First shift: 9 a.m.-noon
Second shift: 12:30-4 p.m.
