SPOKANE, Wash. – The doctor of pharmacy program at Washington State University has earned reaccreditation through June 2023.

“The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education also has endorsed the College of Pharmacy’s plans to extend the doctor of pharmacy program to Yakima, Wash., beginning in August,” said Gary M. Pollack, dean of the college. The accreditation covers both Spokane and Yakima, but WSU will provide updates to the ACPE after student pharmacists in Yakima complete their first year and the program continues to grow.

The College of Pharmacy was founded in 1891 and has been accredited since 1912. Its main degree programs include the doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences (Ph.D.). As of 2013, the college is ranked 38th out of about 130 pharmacy schools in the country by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). Learn more at http://www.pharmacy.wsu.edu/.
