RICHLAND, Wash. – A former CH2M HILL executive has been appointed a volunteer executive in residence (EIR) at Washington State University Tri-Cities. John Fulton will mentor students, assist with research and increase public and private partnerships to help the campus produce job-ready graduates.
“John will be a valuable asset to the students, faculty and community as he facilitates our partnership with regional employers to ready the future workforce,” said H. Keith Moo-Young, chancellor of WSU Tri-Cities.
Fulton is the former president of CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Co., which manages the central plateau cleanup project at the Hanford Site. He has more than 40 years of experience in design, construction and project management of industrial facilities.
The EIR program focuses on supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.
Fulton will work with students to develop their career skillsets and advise them about prospective career choices. He will assist faculty to understand industry needs and challenges and deliver appropriate curriculum.
“I am excited to have this opportunity and look forward to working with the students, WSU Tri-Cities faculty and the local business community to make this program a success,” said Fulton.
