April 3: Top business executives share information technology

PULLMAN, Wash. – Students will learn how technology drives value in successful business at the annual Business Technology Symposium 1-3 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the CUB auditorium at Washington State University.

The public and students in all majors are invited to hear top business executives speak on incorporating digital technology in a variety of business settings.

Presenters will include:

), vice president of information technology, Alaska Airlines, Inc. (http://www.alaskaair.com/) Kutchera leads a team recognized for the award-winning alaskaair.com website and industry-leading airport automation processes. She focuses on innovation to improve customer experience and employee productivity while ensuring the reliability of core systems needed to run the airline.

MelinHeidi M. Melin (http://www.plex.com/about-plex/leadership/heidi-melin.html), chief marketing officer, Plex Systems (http://www.plex.com/). Melin is an experienced executive with over 20 years of marketing experience in the technology industry. She develops strategic direction for the marketing initiatives of Plex Systems, Inc., a company focused on providing plant floor-focused enterprise resource planning (ERP) to manufacturers in cloud.

WileJeff Wile (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/jeff-wile/4/503/a8), vice president, Hosting, Cloud and DevOps Services, The Walt Disney Company (http://thewaltdisneycompany.com/). Wile is responsible for Disney infrastructure hosting strategy, including public cloud, private cloud and infrastructure hosting services. He is responsible for business and technical aspects of all services including cost allocations to the Disney business units, service roadmaps and automation/integration of service delivery.

ReinlandAlumnus Andy Reinland (https://f5.com/about-us/leadership/leadership/andy-reinland), executive vice president and chief financial officer of F5 Networks (https://f5.com/), will be master of ceremonies.
