Global Campus leader’s role to include new ed partnerships

David-CillayPULLMAN, Wash. – Communities and companies looking for educational services from Washington State University have a new single point of contact – David Cillay, vice president for WSU’s Global Campus.

WSU President Elson S. Floyd announced today that Cillay’s role would expand to include management of the process for creating new off-site academic programs. Cillay will serve as a liaison between WSU and external constituents who request WSU academic programs at new sites or seek development of new extended campuses. He will be responsible for assessing requests and evaluating opportunities to extend WSU academic programs throughout the state.

“The Global Campus was created to leverage new and emerging academic technologies to advance WSU’s land-grant mission,” Floyd said. “We increasingly are asked by communities and the corporate world to provide specific educational services.

“Expanding Dr. Cillay’s role centralizes and streamlines the process for our constituents, internally and externally,” Floyd said.

WSU Global Campus, launched in 2012, is the center for the university’s online educational programs. It offers eight baccalaureate and 12 graduate degrees.
