Nov. 24: Business fundraiser in Seattle open to public

business fundraiserSEATTLE – David Whidbee, interim dean of the Washington State University Carson College of Business, invites WSU alumni, Pacific Northwest business leaders, the public and those passionate about supporting business education to the Sixth Annual Dean’s Leadership Celebration at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

A reception and silent auction at 5 p.m. will be followed by dinner, a program and live auction at 6:45 p.m. Tickets cost $175 per person; guests may register at http://go.wsu.edu/DLC until Nov. 19.

Live auction items will include a private dinner party for 10 prepared by WSU chef Jamie Callison and his staff at the exclusive Beecher’s Loft above Pike Place Market, with five signed copies of his book, “The Crimson Spoon: Plating Regional Cuisine on the Palouse,” as well as lodging for two at the Loft the night of the event.

A private quarterback lesson at Martin Stadium with former WSU and Rose Bowl quarterback Jason Gesser will include a private tour of the football facilities, a football signed by Gesser, lodging for two nights at the Hilltop Inn and gift certificates to local eateries. A pair of signed, hand-painted and etched magnums from WSU alumnus and wine maker Chris Figgins will feature a 2011 sangiovese from Leonetti Cellar and a 2011 Figgins Estate red wine.

Sponsored by Silver Creek Capital Management and Slalom Consulting, the celebration will raise funds to support the college’s Carson Center for Student Success. The center is the college’s central location for undergraduate services and serves over 2,000 business students.
