Nov. 18-19: Recycling conference an international event

recycling-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – This year’s Washington Organic Recycling Council conference straddles two countries.

The Nov. 18-19 event will be held at the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Wash., just minutes away from the Canadian border. Participants will cross the border to gain an international perspective on emerging trends in organics recycling, composting and anaerobic digestion in the U.S. and Canada.

The conference, titled “Capturing the Best from our Organics: Changes, Challenges and Opportunities,” will feature Nora Goldstein of Biocycle Magazine and Carey McIver of McIver and Associates, as well as experts from regional municipalities, CH2MHill and Washington State University.

The event is organized by WSU’s conference management unit, which organizes 40-50 educational conferences and events each year.
