PULLMAN, Wash. – Glass by Dale Chihuly, Lino Taglipietra and other Northwest and international artists is on exhibit at the Brelsford Washington State University Visitor Center, 150 E. Spring St., downtown Pullman.

The Pacific Northwest is home to one of the nation’s largest concentrations of glass artists, many of whom studied and taught at Seattle’s Pilchuck Glass School. Other artists represented in the visitor center display include Sonja Blomdahl, Dante Marioni, Bertil Vallien and Toots Zynsky.
Some of the visitor center works are from the Marian E. Smith collection of Northwest glass art given to the Museum of Art/WSU. Other pieces are gifts from Safeco Insurance, a member of the Liberty Mutual Group, and the Washington Art Consortium.
“These works are a wonderful addition to the visitor center,” said Amberly Boone, marketing/promotions coordinator. “They are just one more way we are highlighting the excellent opportunities available at WSU to everyone who comes through the facility.”
