Dec. 5: Students present master plan for Palouse bioregion

land-arch-students-200PULLMAN, Wash. – A plan to enhance long-term sustainability on the Palouse will be presented to the community at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, on the second floor of Carpenter Hall at Washington State University.

The Landscape Architecture 470 class considered Palouse history, natural resources, economy and more when developing a master plan for the Palouse bioregion (a region defined by characteristics of the natural environment rather than by man-made divisions).

Local food production, renewable energy development, water conservation, alternate transportation and enhancements to local economies will be discussed. A time for questions and discussion will follow the presentation.
