mlkjrdaylogo-200PULLMAN, Wash. – The deadline for nominations for Washington State University’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Service Awards is Friday, Nov. 22.

Awards will be given in five categories: WSU faculty member, WSU staff member, WSU student, group or organization affiliated with WSU, and individual or group from the surrounding community.

“It is important for WSU to take time to honor people for doing important work that helps make the university a more inclusive and successful place,” said Marc Robinson, director of WSU’s culture and heritage houses and lead organizer for the 2014 MLK celebration.

Winners will be chosen based upon their service in one or more of the following areas: altruism and community service, advancement of diversity, education and inclusion.
