The purpose of this week’s events at WSU is to raise the profile of transfer students, offer them support through useful workshops and acknowledge what they bring to the university.
Los Alamos National Laboratory scientist Luiz Bertelli will discuss how officials dealt with a radiological incident in Goiânia, Brazil that led to four deaths, as part of a Herbert M. Parker Lecture Series on Oct. 21.
The competitions are being organized by the newly formed “Pac‑U,” made up of esports organizations from public and private universities in the Pac‑12.
Events kick off at 12:10 p.m. with a lecture by Robert Miller, a professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences faculty, staff and students are invited to join President Kirk Schulz, and Provost and Executive Vice President Elizabeth Chilton at noon for a virtual town hall.
The event, which will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 3–5 p.m., will feature speakers from WSU, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Microsoft Research.
All games, including football and basketball, will be played without spectators, and WSU Pullman will not host tailgating opportunities, consistent with public health and safety directives.
WSU Snohomish County Extension hosts their Sustainable Community Steward (SCS) fall training series every Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Oct. 2 – Nov. 20 via Zoom.
