Marina Tolmacheva, WSU professor emerita of history and an expert in Islamic and world history, has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to teach in Kazakhstan.

Susan Finley, professor of education at WSU Vancouver, has been awarded the Ormsby Award for Faculty Citizenship for her exceptional civic engagement.

WSU alumni Rob and Brenda Mercer of Mercer Wine Estates will discuss their Prosser winery and this year’s Cougar V wine, Sept. 15 at the Brelsford Visitor Center.

Patti Hirahara donated more than 2,000 photos taken by her father and grandfather while in a WWII Japanese American incarceration camp.

Zachary Howard, a WSU genetics and cell biology major, has received a $7,500 Goldwater Scholarship.
