The $2.4 million federal grant supports a WSU-led team in preparing the power grid for the changing world of electricity production, including greater renewable generation.
Mattis, a retired four-star Marine Corps general and Pullman native, will receive the award at a ceremony at the John J. Hemmingson Center on the Gonzaga University campus. The event will also be livestreamed on TVW.
“Next‑Gen Solutions: Harnessing ChatGPT for Classroom Innovation and Business Success” will be held from 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. April 17 in Pullman and livestreamed on Zoom.
The first cohort of graduates from the Energy Conscious Construction certificate program are hoping to use their training to design and build more efficient and less carbon-polluting homes.
Candidate C will make a presentation to members of the WSU community from 3–3:50 p.m. Monday, April 8, on the Pullman campus. Their presentation will also be available to watch via Zoom.
Du will lead the institute with WSU’s Anamika Dubey. The AGI is comprised of scientists, faculty, and students from both WSU and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
As winner of the event, molecular biosciences doctoral student Marian Laughery receives a travel grant for $3,000 to be applied to a research conference of her choice.
