March 20, 23: Trump and the court, attorney general

PULLMAN, Wash. – A panel will discuss the relationship between President Donald Trump and the U.S. Supreme Court, and the state attorney general will talk about suing the president in two events hosted by the Foley Institute at Washington State University.

In advance of confirmation hearings for Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, a panel of academics will examine the court’s relationship with the president at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, in Smith CUE 203.

Panelists will be Amanda Hollis-Brusky, Pomona College; Mitch Pickerill, Northern Illinois University; and Michael Salamone, WSU.

Washington attorney general Bob Ferguson will talk about the state’s lawsuit over Trump’s immigration ban, the possible marijuana crackdown by the federal government, campaign finance reform and other issues at noon Thursday, March 23, in the Foley Speaker’s Room, 308 Bryan Hall. Pizza and pop will be served.
