PULLMAN, Wash. – Three general university classrooms in Clark Hall were equipped with technology during summer and are available for scheduling by the Washington State University community through the normal channels.
The provost’s classroom committee also approved equipment upgrades and minor facility renewal in three heavily used auditoriums: Goertzen 21, Kimbrough 101 and Fine Arts 5062. Summer renewal projects also included eight general classrooms in Avery Hall and two large Wegner Hall classrooms.
During spring 2017, two general university classrooms in Daggy Hall are slated for renewal. The larger, Daggy 232, will be reconfigured to provide a 36-seat flexible classroom styled for active learning. It will feature furniture clusters (or pods) seating six students per table with technology at each cluster and wireless capability similar to what is available in Bryan Hall 404.
Construction of the Digital Classroom Building is on schedule for completion in June 2017 and will be ready for use by fall semester 2017. The new facility will include 12 classrooms of various sizes, three of which will be furnished in the flexible active learning style.
