Tidal Leadership online course wins award

tidal-leadershipPULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University’s Tidal Leadership online certificate program has won the 2016 Online Learning Consortium outstanding online program award, which recognizes access, learning effectiveness, cost effectiveness and student and faculty satisfaction.

The consortium is an international professional association comprised of educators and learning professionals and organizations.

The concept of tidal leadership helps participants manifest leadership potential regardless of their title, duties or position through customized work focused on their personal leadership challenges and goals. Training focuses on practical application of principles.

“A title does not always accurately reflect a person’s effectiveness as a leader,” said Kim Kidwell, program designer. “Tidal leadership, in contrast, focuses on consciously creating a value-based leadership platform that is applicable regardless of one’s job title.”
