WSU alum commands Air Force training center

BenceTRENTON, N.J. – Christopher Bence, Washington State University alumnus and Air Force major general, took command of the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center (EC) on Aug. 2 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1986 and a master’s in engineering management in 1993 at WSU Pullman.

The EC is the Air Force center of excellence for expeditionary training, offering over 90 courses. It helps assure the right skills are taught at the right time to meet emerging missions.
