PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University has become a “key resource” in the U.S. for documenting the incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II, according to a recent National Park Service publication.
The spring issue of the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program newsletter features an article about the WSU Libraries’ Hirahara Collection of photographs, oral histories and other documents that tell the story of internment from the perspective of those who experienced it.
