Starting March 8: Cougs Vote informs students about election

cougs-vote-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – Election issue discussions and voter registration are among the ways the Center for Civic Engagement will help students at Washington State University learn about and prepare to participate in the U.S. presidential May primary and November election.

Public Square discussions focusing on election issues will take place in Pullman on March 8 and April 21 and be live streamed for Global Campus students. A third discussion will take place at the annual Global Campus Tacoma Rendezvous March 12.

A voter registration table will be on the CUB first floor 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, March 30-April 14 and daily April 18-25.

The Washington presidential primary is May 24; registered voters will receive a standard ballot in the mail 18 days before. To participate in the primary, voters must be registered by May 16.
