Classroom technology, facility upgrades planned for summer

PULLMAN, Wash. – General university classrooms in Clark, Wegner and Avery halls are slated for technology upgrades and minor renewal during the summer. Auditoriums in Kimbrough, Fine Arts and Goertzen halls are included in the technology upgrades.

After a major renewal in the fall, classrooms on the fourth floor of Bryan Hall re-opened this semester. Bryan 406, which seats 31 students, is equipped with technology. Bryan 404 was reconfigured into a 54-seat flexible classroom for active learning – similar to what will be in the new Digital Classroom Building to be completed by fall 2017.

In Bryan 404, nine furniture pods seat six students per table with technology at each cluster and wireless capability and support for team collaboration. The Bryan Hall project also included air handling and acoustical improvements.
