Sept. 26: Leadership conference inspires empowerment

cougar-leadership-conferencePULLMAN, Wash. – More than 500 students are expected at the annual Cougar Leadership Conference, where an award-winning television journalist will inspire them to share their stories to empower others.

Registration is open for the event, which will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in Todd 116 at Washington State University. It is free to WSU students and $25 for others. Register at http://studentinvolvement.wsu.edu/leadership/cougar-leadership-conference/register-here/.

Various levels of workshops, beginner through advanced, will allow participants to customize their experience. Lunch and gifts will be provided, as well as a chance to win free books for a semester.

Journalist Jessica Abo will speak about how affluence is not a requirement for influence.
