PULLMAN, Wash. – Olivia Yang, associate vice president for facilities services, will serve as interim vice president for finance and administration beginning immediately.

Washington State University Acting President Dan Bernardo announced the appointment today.

“Olivia has the background and skill set to ensure this vital area of the university continues to function effectively,” he said. “I have every confidence in her ability to serve in this capacity until the position is filled on a permanent basis.”

The late President Elson S. Floyd was serving as the interim leader of finance and administration following the departure of Roger Patterson.

Bernardo said the search for a permanent vice president for finance and administration is underway. Vice President for Research Chris Keane is chairing that search.

The acting president also said a candidate has been offered the position of WSU vice president for information technology services and chief information officer and will be back on campus in two weeks to visit more about the opportunity.
