Alumna selected as Fulbright scholar to South Korea

BrueggemanWALLA WALLA, Wash. – Nikki Brueggeman, a 2013 alumna of Washington State University, will leave in early July to teach as a Fulbright scholar in South Korea 2015-16.

A Walla Walla, Wash., native, she served in many leadership positions at WSU, including as president of the ASWSU Black Student Union. She plans to work in international education once she completes her master’s degree in international studies at the University of Washington.

“I am very excited to share the diverse cultures of the United States, hike through some of the beautiful mountains and learn more about South Korea’s development since the 1950s,” she said. “And, of course, wear my Coug gear everywhere I go.”
