PULLMAN, Wash. – Students driving west for spring break are cautioned by the state transportation department that the left turn onto highway 26 in Colfax, Wash., will be closed during daylight hours. Drivers can detour north a block and turn left there instead.
Spring break at Washington State University is March 16-20.
Work began Monday on the SR 26/Palouse River Bridge and US 195 at the Colfax “Y.” Flaggers will be at the intersections to assist turning traffic. All lanes will be open during non-working hours.
