Women’s basketball heading to Pac-12 tournament

PULLMAN, Wash. – Senior guard Tia Presley scored 28 points to lead Washington State University past the University of Southern California 68-62 on Senior Day at Beasley Coliseum Saturday.

The Cougars improved to 16-13 overall and finished with a 7-11 Pac-12 Conference record to enter next week’s Pac-12 Conference Tournament in Seattle as the No. 7 seed. They will face No. 10 Oregon in Thursday’s opening round.

WSU and Oregon split the regular season series 1-1, each posting road wins. USC falls to 15-14 including 7-11 in league play and will face Colorado in the first round in Seattle.
